CHADRON – A pair of Sumner-Eddyville-Miller standouts will take part in this year’s Nebraska/Wyoming 6-Man Football All-Star Game on Friday.

Brothers Noah and Kellen Eggleston will both be part of team Nebraska in this year’s game, dubbed the Battle of the Border.

It’s the 12th year of the game with Wyoming holding a 6-5 all-time advantage. Last year Wyoming dominated the second half for a 69-44 victory.

The Egglestons helped SEM to a 10-1 record last fall. Their only defeat came in the state semifinal against eventual champion Parkview Christian.

Noah completed 58% of his passes as a senior for 1,701 yards, 37 touchdowns and just two interceptions while rushing for 463 yards and five scores.

Kellen was the team’s leading rusher and receiver, running for 555 yards and nine touchdowns and catching 26 passes for 413 yards and 12 scores. He also led the defense in total tackles and tackles for loss.

The Battle of the Border will be held at Chadron State’s Elliott Field on Friday with kickoff at 7 p.m. MDT.
