Quentin Connealy’s dryland crops are starting to change colors, turning brown on the edges moving towards the center of the field.
Susan Littlefield visited with Connealy for an update on his crops before harvest.
Connealy said this year there are several variants with numbers, hybrids, and moisture levels with each plant.
He said irrigation should look good with high numbers but dryland could be low due to being 10 – 11 inches below the 10 year average rainfall.
Connealy is looking forward to shutting off his pivots this weekend to finish off his crops before harvest.
