Nebraska Corn Board recaps trade, production challenges in 2022

With only a few days left in 2022, many ag organizations are reflecting on the past year and gearing up for what’s to come in 2023.

Many of those organizations are weighing in on Mexico’s decree to end imports of biotech corn and other commodities.

Kelly Brunkhorst, executive director of the Nebraska Corn Board, said trade with Mexico, along with all other domestic and international trade, has been a big focus this year.

In addition to trade, Brunkhorst said producers have battled weather and high input prices.
