Wisner-Pilger Football shuts out Elkhorn Valley
September 14th, 2021 | Jeff Axtell

The Wisner-Pilger Football Team blanked Elkhorn Valley 54-0 at home Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Gators led 24-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, and 40-0 at halftime.

Wisner-Pilger extended their lead to 48-0 at the end of three before the Gators put up 6 points in the 4th quarter to make up the final score.

Very dominating performance from the Gators Friday night.

Wisner-Pilger (2-1) takes on Howells-Dodge (3-0) on the road Friday night.

The Jaguars knocked off Cross County 40-38 at home last week.

Both teams are playing very well right now, and this should be a great game.

Wisner-Pilger has been lights out the last two weeks and Howells-Dodge has played really well all season.

This should be a high scoring affair with a lot of high flying action up and down the field for sure.

I look for both teams to play very well come Friday night.

Both squads have to avoid a letdown if at all possible.

Both teams should be focused and prepared and ready to go though.

Both teams can score and both teams can defend and all heck could break loose in Howells once again Friday night.

It should be a great game and something has to give.

The Jaguars will be really tough, especially at home, but the Gators are arguably playing some great Football and at a really high level right now in their own right.

The game figures to come down to the wire and be decided by the slimmest of margins.

Wisner-Pilger is going to have to play really well and bring it to pick up the win, and you know they will give it all they got that’s for sure.
