October 7th, 2022 | Jeff Axtell

The Winnebago Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to Homer and Whiting, IA at their home Triangular Tuesday night.

The Knights took set one 25-13, and won set two 25-7.

The Warriors claimed set one 27-25, and set two 25-21.

The Indians (7-12) take on Norfolk Catholic (18-2) at the Wisner-Pilger Tournament on Saturday.

The Knights swept Battle Creek 3-0 on the road Thursday night.

Should Winnebago lose they would play either Wisner-Pilger or Wynot in their second match of the day.

Neither of those teams would be easy to contend with either.

The field is pretty stacked in this tournament, but perhaps the Indians could pick up a win over like Fort Calhoun or O’Neill.

It won’t be easy, but this tournament should only make Bago better.

Winnebago has to go out there and fight and put forth their best effort on Saturday.

The Indians have to play with Bago pride and passion, and go out there and take the fight to the competition all day long.

Winnebago has to try and shock the field and see what they can do.

The Norfolk Catholic match begins at 10:00 a.m.
