West Point Teen Dies in Farm Accident

A female teenager from West Point is dead after a farm accident involving a pickup truck and a payloader.

According to the Cuming County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on a property near 14th Rd. and A Rd. in rural Cuming County Thursday afternoon at around 1:52 pm.

The accident occurred when a Ford F-150 driven by 18-year-old Halle Kreikemeier was traveling south on a property lane, while at the same time a payloader driven by 42-year-old Armando Rodriguez Espinosa from West Point was coming around the south corner of a feed shed.

The payloader was turning to go up the lane to the north. The pickup and the payloader collided.

Kreikemeier was pronounced deceased on scene.

Rodriguez Espinosa was uninjured.

Agencies responding to the farm accident were Snyder Fire and Rescue, Cuming County Sheriff’s Office, Cuming County Emergency Management, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Cuming County Attorney’s Office.

The accident is still under investigation.
