West Point City Council holds Public Hearing tied to Levee Project, approves bids for Paving Improvement Projects and Trucks

A public hearing took place at Tuesday night’s West Point City Council Meeting on a Resolution of necessity in regards to the formation of Sanitary Sewer District 2024-1 so that the city can do improvements to the city’s sewer system in an amount not to exceed $2.5 million. City Administrator Tom Goulette.

Goulette says the JEO Engineering Contract was approved to authorize Mayor Bruce Schlecht to sign the Engineering Construction and Inspection Fees for the Levee Project for $566,000.

The Council also approved use of a state bid for the purchase of trucks.

The council also approved LB840 Projects for Creative Expressions and the West Point Dance Company.

The Council approved a bid for Paving Improvement Projects as well.

The Council will next meet on Tuesday, September 3rd at 5:30 p.m.
