September 15th, 2021 | Jeff Axtell

The West Point-Beemer Football Team fell 39-7 at home to Battle Creek Friday night.

The game was tied at 7 at the end of one. The Braves led 13-7 at halftime before shutting out the Cadets in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters, leading 26-7 after three.

West Point-Beemer surrendered 421 yards of total offense, 248 coming on the ground.

The Cadets were right there in the 1st half, things just simply got away from them in the 2nd half.

West Point-Beemer (0-3) plays host to O’Neill (1-2) Friday night.

The Eagles lost 49-26 at home to Central City last week.

O’Neill will be tough, and the Cadets have to come ready to play their best game of the season Friday night.

West Point-Beemer is due for a win and has to put forth their best effort against the Eagles.

I think the Cadets will win this week, but there’s not a lot of margin for error for West Point-Beemer.

The Cadets have to really get after it and play a great game Friday night.

West Point-Beemer has faced an extremely difficult schedule so far this year.

The Cadets have to come out and put things all together in this one.

West Point-Beemer has to take their frustrations of losing the first 3 games out on O’Neill Friday night.

The Cadets have to come out and play physical, smashmouth football from start to finish, and must play until the final whistle.

West Point-Beemer has to come out with some purpose and determination, and must get fired up and take the fight to O’Neill Friday night.
