Wayne, Neb. — The Wayne State College volleyball team is ranked third in the final regular season AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released late Monday afternoon. WSC received four first-place votes and 1,090 points in voting conducted by 47 various coaches in NCAA Division.
Wayne State saw their 21-match win streak snapped Saturday in the semi-finals of the NSIC Volleyball Tournament falling in five sets to St. Cloud State. The Wildcats are 28-2 on the season and are expected to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Volleyball Tournament with the selection show taking place this evening (Monday) at 6:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
