OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women’s basketball team revealed its full 2024-25 schedule today, headlined by four Power 5 games against Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma.

“I am looking forward to our upcoming season,” noted Head Coach Carrie Banks. “We have a tough non-conference schedule that will see us face three NCAA Tournament teams. We have 10 newcomers and we really wanted to prepare them for the rigors of Summit League play.”

The season officially begins on November 4 on the road with the aforementioned game against the Huskers who are coming off their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last 10 years. Omaha continues the opening week with a pair of home games against St. Mary’s (Nov. 7) and Western Illinois (Nov. 10), before hitting the road for back-to-back Power 5 matchups against 2023-24 NCAA Tournament participant Kansas on November 13 and 2023-24 NIT Tournament participant Wisconsin on November 23.

The Mavericks close out the first month with a home game against Utah State on November 26th and two games on November 29 and 30 in a tournament hosted by San Diego State.

December begins with the Big Sky-Summit Challenge on the fourth and seventh with exact matchups to be named later. The Mavericks have two more road games with a single home game in between to finish off the non-conference slate as they play at Lindenwood on December 14, host Bellevue on December 18, and close out 2024 at reigning Big 12 Regular Season Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Oklahoma on December 22.

Omaha opens the new year with its first game of Summit League competition as the Mavericks host North Dakota on January 2. They follow this up with two games up north at reigning Regular Season and Tournament Champion South Dakota State on January 9 and South Dakota on January 11.

After two more home games against North Dakota State (Jan. 16) and St. Thomas (Jan. 18), the Mavericks split each of the next two weeks on the road and at home as they play at Denver (Jan. 22), vs. Kansas City (Jan. 25), at Oral Roberts (Jan. 30), and finally vs. SDSU (Feb. 1) to open the second half of conference play.

February continues with two road games at St. Thomas on the fifth and Kansas City on the eighth, before the Mavericks return home for their final homestand of the season. The three-game stretch begins with Oral Roberts on February 13, followed by Denver on February 15, and concludes with the home finale vs. South Dakota on February 20.

The season concludes the following week with North Dakota on February 27 and finally NDSU on March 1. With the regular season complete it is off to the Summit League Tournament hosted in Sioux Falls, S.D. from March 5-9.
