The Stanton Girls Basketball Team won 65-13 at Randolph Friday night before losing 55-33 at home to BRLD on Saturday only to win 61-21 at home over Twin River Tuesday night.
The Mustangs blanked the Cardinals 20-0 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Randolph 17-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 37-7 lead into the locker room.
Stanton outscored the Cardinals 16-6 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 53-13 at the end of three.
The Mustangs blanked Randolph 12-0 in the 4th quarter.
Rebecca Stoddard had 13 points while Sylvia Cunningham registered 12. Kelby Pohlman added 9 while Madson Mckie and Savannah Siebrandt totaled 8 and 7, respectively.
The Wolverines tripled up Stanton 15-5 in the 1st quarter and won the 2nd quarter 13-11 to take a 28-16 lead into the locker room.
BRLD doubled up the Mustangs 16-8 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 44-24 at the end of three.
The Wolverines won the 4th quarter 11-9.
Stoddard and Olivia Cunningham had 8 points apiece.
The Titans led 10-8 after one before the Mustangs tripled up Twin River 18-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-16 lead into the locker room.
Stanton outscored Twin River 13-3 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 39-19 at the end of three.
The Mustangs outscored the Titans 22-2 in the 4th quarter.
Sylvia Cunningham had 16 points while Pohlman totaled 11. Siebrandt chipped in 9 while Arynn Spence posted 9 rebounds.
Really strong performances on Friday and Tuesday from Stanton.
The Mustangs (9-9) host Howells-Dodge (7-11) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament Friday night.
The Jaguars lost 51-44 at Battle Creek Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.
Howells-Dodge beat Stanton 50-46 in OT in Stanton at the start of the season.
I feel like the Mustangs could very well win this time around.
