Scammers are texting customers and non customers in several communities using the name of RVR Bank in Blair and Fremont – attempting to get personal information. Bank representatives say they are not sending out these texts and to delete them, do not click on any links. Some customers are reporting multiple attempts by the scammers to obtain social security and bank account numbers. You’re advised to avoid clicking on any links, to delete the texts and if you do have an account with RVR Bank, call the bank directly if you have questions.
