Pender is hosting an annual science day on Friday in remembrance of former science teacher, Corky Malmberg.
A full day of messy, fun, activities are planned both at the school and Pender Community Center.
Presentations include Chomp Stomp Roar, Edgerton Science Center, Mobile Planetarium, Rocket Launches, Wildlife Encounters, NASA Space Ambassador, UNL Extension, and Barn Quilt Designing.
Mrs. Malmberg was a teacher at Pender Public Schools for many years.
She became ill and passed away a few years ago.
