WAKEFIELD – Pender kept its season alive by defeating Crofton 8-0 in six innings in an elimination game from the Class C Senior Legion State Baseball Tournament on Sunday in Wakefield.
Pender scored four runs in the fourth innings and added three runs in the firth and one in the sixth.
Brayden Hegge pitched a complete game shutout for Pender, allowing just three hits.
With the loss, Crofton is eliminated from the tournament.
Pender moves on to play Wakefield in another elimination game on Monday afternoon at 4:00.
The game will be on 107.9 The Bull.
