The Oakland-Craig Boys Basketball Team upset Omaha Nation 61-52 in the C2-3 Sub-District Final last Thursday night before falling 53-22 at Freeman in the C2-1 District Final Monday night.

Braylon Anderson had 23 points and 13 rebounds against the Chiefs, good enough for a double-double. Brayden Selk added 17 points and 13 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Grant Seagren added 9 points and 13 rebounds.

The Falcons led 13-4 after the 1st quarter, and won the 2nd quarter 11-5 to take a 24-9 lead into the locker room.

Freeman doubled up Oakland-Craig 14-7 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 38-16 at the end of three.

The Falcons outscored the Knights 15-6 in the 4th quarter.

Seagren paced O-C with 7 points.

Good end to the year for the Knights.

Oakland-Craig ends the season with a 10-13 record.

Anderson and Seagren each led the team in scoring this year with 10 points per game.

O-C says goodbye to Seagren and Brayden Selk.

Those two will be missed big time as both are 6’7 and had a big impact on this team and its success.

Key returners for next year include Jeremiah Druckenmiller, Lincoln Benne, Isaak Maxwell, Dawson Meyer, Nolan Magnusson, Anderson, and Mason Pearson.

The Knights should be improved next year although some new post players will have to emerge for Oakland-Craig.

The Knights should have really good guard play next year though so look for O-C to light it up from the field in 2023-2024.
