Overview:
The 3-time defending Class C-1 State Champion North Bend Central Girls Basketball Team figures to be very good once again this year. Long time Head Coach Aaron Sterup says they’re in the same position they’ve been in recent years.
The Tigers must overcome the loss of Sydney Emanuel and others, but I fully expect North Bend Central to reload.
North Bend Central had a very good and successful Volleyball season, and I think that can and will carry over into Basketball. Coach Sterup agrees.
I think the success the Tigers had in Volleyball this fall will be something the Basketball Team feeds off of and uses to their advantage this Winter.
Season Outlook:
North Bend Central looks to make another big run this year.
The Tigers have toughened up their schedule.
North Bend Central opens up the season at Bishop Neumann on Thursday.
The Tigers are also in Sub-District C1-4 with the Cavaliers, Wahoo, Arlington, and Yutan. Coach Sterup feels the tough District is good for his program.
The schedule is definitely tough for North Bend Central this year, but I think it’s only going to help and make the Tigers better.
Could North Bend Central win a 4th consecutive State Championship? You definitely can’t rule it out that’s for sure.
