North Bend Central Football loses at Columbus Lakeview
October 14th, 2021 | Jeff Axtell

The North Bend Central Football Team lost 42-6 at Columbus Lakeview Friday night.

Gavin Kirschenmann made 10 tackles while Ian Virka had 7.

The Tigers had 158 yards of total offense, including 83 rushing.

North Bend Central (1-6) hosts West Point-Beemer (1-6) Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Cadets lost 57-41 at home to Pierce last week.

This figures to be a great game between two programs on the rise and with a lot of potential.

Both teams are going through a coaching transition this year, and the going has been slow so far.

I think this game is a game that could springboard the winner into success next week and next season.

The Tigers have to get things going offensively.

North Bend Central’s air attack has been grounded the last couple games and needs to get things going in this one.

The Tigers have to throw some new looks and wrinkles at the Cadets….something West Point-Beemer hasn’t seen and isn’t ready for.

Neither team really has anything to lose in this one quite honestly.

It’s kind of a case of may the best man win.

North Bend Central has to remain upbeat, positive, and energetic.

The Tigers have to be physical and aggressive, and try and hound the Cadets’ offense.

Sounds easier said than done, but North Bend Central can definitely do it although West Point-Beemer will be tough especially seeing how they did against the Bluejays last week.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull.
