Lyons-Decatur Northeast Volleyball loses to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

The Lyons-Decatur Northeast Volleyball Team fell 3-0 at home to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Tuesday night in action that was aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Cougars lost set one 25-16, set two 25-13, and set three 26-24.

I thought LDNE did a great job of battling in that 3rd set. The Cougars could have easily thrown in the towel and packed their bags and gone home, but they didn’t. They continued to fight. And as a Coach and Parent that’s all you can ask for.

Lyons-Decatur Northeast (2-20) plays host to Homer (10-11) Monday night.

The Knights won 3-1 at home over Tri County Northeast Thursday night.

The Cougars have a big challenge on their hands in this one.

I fully expect LDNE to fight and battle and give it their all on Monday night though.

The Cougars need something to build off of and hang their hat on heading into the East Husker Conference Tournament next week.

Lyons-Decatur Northeast will face Clarkson/Leigh in the first round of that, and that won’t be easy by any stretch of the imagination.

Which is why the Cougars need to gain as much momentum as possible heading into that contest.

I feel like LDNE was able to find something positive to take away from the Logan View/Scribner-Snyder match with that 3rd set, and that’s something I think the Cougars need to do in this match as well.

Lyons-Decatur Northeast has to get amped and fired up and go out there and take the fight to Homer all night long.

The Cougars can’t back down from the Knights whatsoever.
