Governor’s Office, DED, and Nebraska Chamber of Commerce to Kick Off “6 Regions, One Nebraska” Initiative in Northeast Nebraska

August 1, 2024 (LINCOLN, NEB.) – On Monday morning, Governor Jim Pillen, the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED), and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry will host a press conference in Norfolk prior to the inaugural meeting of the 6 Regions, One Nebraska initiative in the Northeast Community College region. Co-chairs of the region’s working group will also take part in the news conference.

6 Regions, One Nebraska is a new, regional approach to economic development. It is convening leaders in each of Nebraska’s six community college districts (see attached district map)to design and implement collaborative projects to support regional economic growth.

At the news conference, Gov. Pillen and others will make brief remarks as 6 Regions, One Nebraska begins in northeast Nebraska. This event is open to media.
