GACC Girls lose to Crofton and Pender

GACC Girls lose to Crofton and Pender
February 8th, 2023 | Jeff Axtell

The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Girls Basketball Team fell 49-39 to Crofton in the Mid-State Conference Tournament Championship Game at Pierce on Saturday before losing 63-60 at home to Pender Tuesday night.

Tough losses for the Bluejays.

GACC (17-3) rounds out the regular season at home against Pierce (14-8) Thursday night.

Pierce lost 37-34 at home to Clarkson/Leigh Tuesday night in action that was aired on 107.9 the Bull.

It would be great for GACC’s Seniors to win their final regular season home game.

The team has to do everything they can to send the Seniors out winners in their last home regular season game.

It appears as if GACC is going to host their Sub-District next week, but GACC needs this win over Pierce for momentum purposes if anything.

GACC could really use a win and some positive momentum heading into the postseason.

I think Central Catholic finds a way to bounce back on Thursday, I really do.
