Overview:
The GACC Girls look to continue their winning ways this season under longtime Head Coach Jerry Stracke.
3 starters return for the Bluejays, including Sophia Hass (G/P 5’8 8 pts 6 reb), Livia Hunke (G 5’6 5 pts), and Taylor Timmerman. (P 5’8 5 pts).
Coach Stracke says the team lost two starters from last year – including their leading scorer and tallest player.
He says the team has a good mixture of older and younger players with 5 seniors that will help step up and fill the void left by Brenna Rief and others.

Coach Stracke also says the team will rely on their defense this year like in the past, and the offense will have to be efficient.
He adds C2 is loaded and the team hopes to be competitive and make it back down to state.
Season Outlook:
GACC opens up the season on Friday at home against Wisner-Pilger. Coach Stracke says the Gators will be tough for a couple of reasons.
The Gators along with Clarkson/Leigh and Stanton are in Sub-District C2-4 with the Bluejays.
Coach Stracke says the Patriots should be really good and Wisner-Pilger is a much improved team.
The Mid-State Conference figures to be tough once again this year as well.
You know the Bluejays will be right there in the end and will contend and compete for another State Tournament Berth.
Perhaps GACC gets revenge on Clarkson/Leigh in a Sub-District Final this year after the Patriots beat them two years ago to go to State?
It could happen as I fully expect and anticipate the Bluejays to be a really tough out this year.
I look for GACC to be relentless if you may.
