Overview:
The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Boys Basketball Team looks for good things under new Head Coach Bryan Mendlik, the son of former longtime West Point Central Catholic Head Coach Duane Mendlik.

Coach Mendlik says he was a late addition to the staff, taking over for Jason Folkers.
I look for the Bluejays to do well this year.
Brad Slaughter is back as an Assistant so that should help too.
I think GACC can be good and get things turned around and get back to what they have been in the past.
Season Outlook:
GACC looks to make strides this year as a program. Coach Mendlik lays out expectations for the season. “Build on the record from last year. Compete in the conference.”
The Bluejays open up the season at Wisner-Pilger on Friday. Coach Mendlik, who was an Assistant for the Gators the past two years, says they’re pretty solid.
GACC is in Sub-District C2-4 with Pender, Wakefield, and Wisner-Pilger.

Duane Mendlik was at GACC for 35 years up until 2006 so certainly a very long time and some big shoes to fill.
I look for the Bluejays to have a good year this year under Coach Bryan Mendlik and become the type of program that this school and town are accustomed and used to.
I think GACC will be revived and get back to what they were 5-10 years ago or so.
