Emerson-Hubbard Football loses to Pender
October 14th, 2021 | Jeff Axtell

The Emerson-Hubbard Football Team fell 64-8 at home to Pender Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

Tough loss for the Pirates in what was their final ever home game.

Emerson-Hubbard (3-4) rounds out the regular season at Allen (2-5) Friday night.

The Eagles spanked Walthill 76-6 on the road last week.

If Emerson-Hubbard is able to win this one they are probably in the playoffs.

A win for the Eagles and they may be able to sneak into the playoffs.

Either way one team is going home.

It’s do or die time for both teams in what will be the final game ever for one of these programs.

I say that as the two teams will co-op starting next year and be known as the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack.

It’s fitting that these two teams will meet each other in the regular season finale.

They will be teammates starting next year, but for now and for Friday night they are still opponents.

The Pirates have to go out there and let it all out and leave it all out on the field.

Emerson-Hubbard has to play their hearts out in this one, and go out there and pour their heart and soul into this game.

The Pirates shouldn’t have anything left in the tank after this one.

Emerson-Hubbard has to exert every ounce of energy in their body and leave the field knowing there wasn’t one more single thing they could have done.
