The Clarkson/Leigh Boys Basketball Team fell 55-31 at home to Lutheran High Northeast last Tuesday night before winning 53-48 at Twin River last Friday night, and then losing 56-42 at home to Wisner-Pilger Tuesday night.

The Eagles tripled up the Patriots 15-5 in the 1st quarter. LHNE won the 2nd quarter 13-12 to make it a 27-18 game at halftime.

The Eagles outscored the Patriots 15-7 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 42-25 at the end of three.

The Gators led the Patriots 12-8 after one, and outscored Clarkson/Leigh 16-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 28-17 lead into the locker room.

The Patriots outscored Wisner-Pilger 15-6 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to make it a 34-32 game at the end of three.

The Gators outscored Clarkson/Leigh 22-10 in the 4th quarter.

The Patriots (11-5) take on Madison (12-5) in the East Husker Conference Tournament Quarterfinals at home Tuesday night.

The Dragons won 60-46 over Twin River in the first round of the tournament at home on Saturday.

Clarkson/Leigh defeated Madison 49-42 at home earlier this season.

I tell you what though this could be a potential upset given how improved the Dragons are, the fact that the Patriots are struggling at the moment, and the fact that Clarkson/Leigh was upset at home in this very round last year.

Some intrigue could come into play in this one for sure.

The Patriots have to step things up in this one if they want to advance, and I think they can and will.

Clarkson/Leigh is a really good team, and will be tough to beat at home.

The Patriots will have had an entire week to prepare so that should be to their advantage as well.

Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
