The BRLD Football Team fell 20-18 at home to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Friday night.
Gavin Brownell was 5-8 passing for 119 yards and an interception. Elliott Nottlemann hauled in 3 passes for 81 yards and a score.
Gus Gomez made 28 tackles while Daven Whitley had 11. Colten Briggs made 10 while Luke Ronnfeldt notched 7.
The Wolverines had 201 yards of total offense, including 119 through the air.
The Raiders amassed 220 yards of total offense, all coming on the ground.
I thought BRLD did a nice job competing, they just came up a little short.
The Wolverines (0-3) take on Yutan (2-1) on the road Friday night.
The Chieftains won 40-7 at home over Ponca last week.
This is a really difficult matchup for BRLD.
The schedule is really tough for the Wolverines the rest of the season.
BRLD can’t let that discourage them though.
The Wolverines have to go out there and fight and battle every week.
BRLD has to compete and continue to give it their all week in and week out.
The odds may be stacked against the Wolverines, but BRLD has to persevere.
The Wolverines have to keep improving each and every week, and must keep plugging away.
BRLD has to remain positive and in good spirits throughout the course of the rest of the season.
There’s a lot of season left, and the last thing the Wolverines can afford to do is give up.
I don’t think they will as I fully expect BRLD to give it all they got until season’s end.
