The Fremont and Elkhorn Valley Railroad Rails to Trails Foundation has taken over the Dinner Train from Fremont to Nickerson. President Stan Darling says the abandoned rail line will be turned into a bike trail.
Darling says the goal is to start on the trail as soon as it warms up.
It’s expected to be open within a year or two.
