The Bancroft-Rosalie Boys Basketball Team won 62-56 at Howells-Dodge in the D1-4 Sub-District Final last Thursday night before falling 56-46 to Ansley-Litchfield in the D1-8 District Final at Boone Central Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Panthers led the Jaguars 15-10 after the 1st quarter before Howells-Dodge won the 2nd quarter 16-15 to make it a 30-26 game at halftime.

Bancroft-Rosalie won the 3rd quarter 17-14 to extend their lead to 47-40 at the end of three.

The Jaguars won the 4th quarter 16-15.

The Panthers jumped out to the early lead against Ansley-Litchfield, going up 4-0 before the Spartans went up 5-4. Bancroft-Rosalie led 12-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and 18-14 in the second quarter before a 5-0 spurt from Ansley-Litchfield put the Spartans ahead 19-18 late in the 1st half.

The Panthers led 21-19, but an errant pass right before halftime that led to a Luke Bailey layup for Ansley-Litchfield tied the game right before halftime and changed momentum.

With the score nodded up at 21 to begin the second half, the Spartans outscored Bancroft-Rosalie 15-7 in the 3rd quarter to lead 36-28 at the end of three.

Ansley-Litchfield won the 4th quarter 20-18.

Braylon Snyder had a team-high 14 points for the Panthers while Elliott Nottlemann and Samuel Dick registered 13 and 11, respectively.

Good season for Bancroft-Rosalie, but I must say I was surprised the Panthers lost Tuesday night.

Bancroft-Rosalie ends their year at 19-7.

B-R says goodbye to Nottlemann, Snyder, Mason Dolezal, Alec Bonneau, Matayus Sparks, and Nicholas Bozoukov.

These 6 Seniors will be missed big time.

Key returners include Dick, Frank Dolezal, Braylon Wegner, and Graysen Briggs.

I look for the Panthers to be good again and reload next year.

Bancroft-Rosalie should have another great season next year.

That being said, the Panthers have to really work hard in the offseason and must ball it up.

Bancroft-Rosalie has to work hard during team camps, summer leagues, open gyms, and the like.

The Panthers have to get bigger, faster, and stronger and grow and develop as student-athletes and as people.

These kids have a lot of potential the returners just have to realize it next year, and for the Seniors they should take what they learned from High School Basketball and apply it to their everyday lives going forward.
