The annual disposal (Purge) of seized evidence was completed on Tuesday afternoon at the Sheriff’s office in Stanton. More than eighty cases of beer or its equivalent liquor were disposed of by deputies of the Sheriff’s office along with several pounds of miscellaneous controlled substances and other items of evidence that needed to be destroyed. A court order for disposal was obtained earlier Tuesday from the County Judge and after completion of a records inventory the seized items that are no longer needed for court cases were destroyed under the watchful eye of law enforcement.
