This week’s Animal of the Week is Cassie Peatrowsky of the GACC girls track and field team. Cassie qualified for this year’s state track meet in three events. At districts last week, she was seeded third in the pole vault, and pulled off a big upset to make it to state. Then in the 100 meter dash prelims, she was seeded 4th and finished in 2nd place to qualify. Lastly, she started off the 4×100 meter relay team who finished second as well, qualifying for state. She achieved personal bests in both the 100 meter dash and the 4×100 meter relay.
