KTIC Takes Part In “DOT Day”
Kevin Cooper of KTIC and 107.9 The Bull was at West Point-Beemer School Friday, talking with Kindergarten students during DOT Day
Representatives from West Point area businesses and organizations took part in West Point-Beemer Elementary’s “DOT Day” on Friday.
“DOT” means “Do Other Things,” and kindergarten through 6th-grade students got overviews and demonstrations about various careers and jobs.
Talking with students were West Point police officers, firefighters, nurses, and agri-business representatives.
KTIC Radios’ Kevin Cooper was in three different morning sessions with students.
Cooper explained the basics of advertising, and how a broadcast radio signal travels from the studio, to a powerful transmitter and into a radio…computer or phone.
He answered questions about being on KTIC-AM weekday afternoons, and at night on The Bull.
He also recorded the students doing the Pledge of Allegiance, which will be aired in the future at 8AM weekdays  on AM 840 and 107.9 FM The Bull.
