Wayne State makes its first conference road trip of the season this weekend as the Wildcat men play at Minnesota State Friday evening at 8 p.m. followed by a 6 p.m. contest Saturday at Concordia-St. Paul.
The ‘Cats are 4-2 and 1-0 in the NSIC while MSU is 3-2 and has not played a league game yet while CSP starts the weekend at 1-5.
WSC has dropped 10 straight games to Minnesota State, including last year’s games by scores of 77-72 in Wayne and 87-78 in Mankato. Last year, WSC won both games against Concordia-St. Paul – 76-48 in Wayne and 71-51 in St. Paul.
The Wayne State College women’s basketball team hits the road this weekend for their first conference road trip of the season, visiting Minnesota State in Mankato Friday night at 6 p.m. and Concordia-St. Paul Saturday at 4 p.m.
The Wildcats are 6-3 overall and 0-1 in league play heading into Friday’s contest at Minnesota State, who is 1-4 and has not played a league contest. CSP starts the weekend at 2-3. Last season, Minnesota State won in Wayne 85-72 followed by a WSC win in Mankato one month later 70-55.
The Golden Bears also won in Wayne last year 86-66 with WSC winning St. Paul 66-52.
