Northeast Men drop home game to Indian Hills

NORFOLK, NE – The Northeast Community College men’s basketball team fell to #2 Indian Hills Community College, 85-63, Wednesday in the Cox Activities Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk.

The Hawks opened the game with a Melkisedek Moreaux dunk and went on a short run midway through the half. The Warriors closed the gap and took an 11-point lead into halftime. In the second half, Indian Hills (22-0) jumped out and went on to hand Northeast its ninth loss of the season.

For the Hawks, Steve Wooten finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Allen Anderson added 11 points and four assists. Moreaux added five points and five rebounds in the defeat.

Northeast (12-9) will next face Marshalltown Community College in Marshalltown, IA, on Saturday at 7 p.m.
