ISU’s Carleton Named Preseason All-Big 12

IRVING, Texas – Senior guard Bridget Carleton was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team the league announced Wednesday.

The junior guard led Iowa State in 2017-18 with 19.2 points per game, ranking third all-time in the ISU single-season record book. Her 594 points on the year ranked fourth behind Angie Welle’s 2001 campaign. Carleton also set a single-season record in field goal attempts with 520.

In addition to her 19.2 points per game, she averaged 6.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.2 steals. Carleton was also a top-10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award, which honors the nation’s top small forward. She also garned AP All-America honorable mention honors along with her second-straight stint as a unanimous First-Team All-Big 12 selection.
