Briar Cliff Men’s Basketball Camp set for June

The Briar Cliff men’s basketball team will be hosting the 2018 boys basketball camp June 11-14 for players in grades 3-8. The camp will run from 8:30 to noon each day and is $110 per camper.

The Charger basketball camp is designed to focus on fundamentals, particularly offensive fundamental skills. The goal of the camp is for participants to gain improved basketball skills and become excited about basketball. Skill development is stressed throughout camp and campers will be coached by coaches and college players. Campers will also participate in full court games against players of similar levels and several camp awards will be distributed. All campers will also receive a free camp basketball.

Mark Svagera, head men’s basketball coach at Briar Cliff University will direct the Chargers’ 2018 Boys Basketball Camp. Coach Svagera is entering his second season as head coach at Briar Cliff. The Chargers were 26-8 during the past season, and advanced to the NAIA Elite Eight. Coach Svagera brings a wealth of camp experience to this fundamentals camp.

Participants are required to bring their own practice clothes, basketball shoes and their enthusiasm. All campers must be covered by their family insurance policy as Briar Cliff is not responsible for injuries.

Contact head coach Mark Svagera at 712-279-5441 or or assistant coach Jake Shipley at 712-279-5513 or with any questions regarding the camp. The registration form to sign up for the camp can be found by clicking HERE.
