We’re just a couple of days out from a third straight Friday night of playoff football at Bearcat Stadium in Scottsbluff.

Scottsbluff hosting the defending state champion York Dukes in a semifinal matchup. Of course, that means a trip to Lincoln and the state title game is on the line.

You can hear from both head coaches, Scottsbluff’s Joe Benson and York’s Glen Snodgrass, on our pregame show on Friday night on 101.7 The Trail and kneb.com starting at 5:30.

But there’s enough to go around this time of the season with people ready and willing to talk some playoff football.

Up first is Mike Sautter of the Omaha World-Herald. Mike was out here in week 9 to watch the Scottsbluff vs. McCook game and he’s seen just about everybody in Class B this year.

As mentioned there with Mike, it was Waverly knocking out McCook last Friday night by the final of 36-30.

With no game to prep for this week I turned to McCook head coach Jeff Gross for more on these two matchups. Gross and McCook went to York and beat the Dukes 20-13 in week three and they came west and got beat by Scottsbluff in week nine by the final of 23-13. He knows both of these teams well.

Big thanks to both Mike and Coach Gross for talking some football with KNEB Sports as we try and get you all set for Friday night at Bearcat Stadium.

You can listen to the broadcast on Friday night on 101.7 The Trail and kneb.com starting with pregame at 5:30, kickoff at six.
