Clarkson-The East Husker Conference Volleyball Tournament kicked off Thursday night, and 107.9 the Bull carried the four matches in Clarkson.
In the first match of the night, Tekamah-Herman swept Scribner-Snyder 2-0, winning set one 25-9 and set two 25-14.
The Tigers’ Marin Jetensky led all players with 14 kills while Anna Wakehouse registered 6.
Nicole Boyle paced the Trojans with 5 kills.
In the second match of the night, Clarkson/Leigh swept Oakland-Craig 2-0, winning set one 25-17, and set two 25-16.
Beth Wiese and Paige Moore notched 7 kills apiece for the Patriots while Ashlynn Novotny totaled 5.
Natalia McNeill led the Knights with 7 kills.
In the third match of the night, Scribner-Snyder upended Oakland-Craig 2-1.
The Trojans won set one 25-9, and set three 25-23 after losing set two 25-20.
Kaylee Boyle had a match-high 15 kills and totaled 13 digs for Scribner-Snyder (9-10) while Faith Riggle registered 5 kills. Nicole Boyle tallied 18 digs and 23 set assists while Emily Lewin notched 12 digs.
McNeill had 14 kills for Oakland-Craig (4-23) while Kennedy Benne added 10.
In the fourth and final match of the night, Clarkson/Leigh rallied to down Tekamah-Herman 2-1.
The Patriots lost set one 25-21, but won sets two and three 25-22.
Sydney Folken led Clarkson/Leigh (19-7) with 12 kills while Moore totaled 9. Novotny and Wiese chipped in 6 apiece.
For the Tigers (15-10), Wakehouse had a match-high 16 kills while Jetensky put down 12.
All teams return to action on Saturday as the East Husker Conference Tournament continues at Logan View.
