(Audio) Bartling Poised To Have Big Season Again

(Audio) Bartling Poised To Have Big Season Again

Elm Creek junior thrower, Jake Bartling is off to a good start to the outdoor season for the UNK Lopers. He was recently named the MIAA Field Athlete of the week. KRVN’s Jayson Jorgensen spoke with him about his start to his year. Click here to listen.

At the Colorado Invite this past weekend, Bartling placed third in the shot with a throw of 53 feet, 10.25 inches and was fifth in the discus going 156-6. During his career, Bartling has qualified for nationals during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. UNK will host its outdoor invitational this weekend at Kearney High starting on Friday.
