YORK, Neb. – The second installment of York’s Downtown Revitalization Meetings took place on Thursday in Downtown York.
The Clark Enerson Partners, Felsburg Holt & Ullevig, and Greenleaf Properties, were present to share their findings from public input gathered at the first meeting in May.
Topics such as: traffic & streets, housing, facades, parking, food & retail, gathering space, signage and brand identity were all discussed. Major ideas included: the possibility of roundabouts on 3rd and 11th Streets, possibly converting back to two-way streets on Lincoln and Grant Avenues in downtown, and potentially creating a more “public friendly” environment in the heart of downtown York.
Below are conceptual illustrations of ideas for the York Downtown Revitalization project.
A third public meeting is planned for July 10, where a revitalization plan concept will begin to take shape.
