Winnebago Tribal Chairman Issues Warning

Winnebago Tribal Chairman Frank White is  warning in a post online  of the potential for child abductions, missing persons and human trafficking.

He says there have been reports of attempted child abductions in the surrounding area  (not in the town of Winnebago).

He’s asking parents  to talk to their children about strangers and to know where your children are at all times.

The highway that goes through Winnebago, he says, provides an easy access to the interstate system and a lot of children are in the area, especially along the sidewalks.

White asks everyone to stay vigilant in protecting our children.  Anything suspicious should be reported to the Winnebago Police Department at 402-878-2245.
