Wet and cold weather forecast by end of this week

You’ve probably swapped out your coats and gloves for shorts and flip flops by now, but KNEB Meteorologist Don Day warns that you may not be finished with the coats and gloves yet.

He says an approaching storm system will begin to impact the region by mid-week. And at the very least, we will have considerably cooler temperatures by the end of the week. But Day says the potential is also definitely there for some heavier precipitation amounts to occur.

Day says a small weather system will push out ahead of the colder air Tuesday night into Wednesday. Then through Friday morning, he says the system will move very slowly right along the Colorado, Wyoming border, then into western and southwestern Nebraska Friday afternoon.

Day says the big question is still just how cold and how wet it will get. He says as the system becomes more developed, they will have a better handle on it so be sure to keep listening for updated forecasts.
