Cozad, Neb. — The Nebraska State Patrol reports a two-semi collision with injuries occurred today/Wednesday shortly after 9:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 about 4 miles west of Cozad.
The patrol says a semi-tractor parked on the shoulder of I 80 was side-swiped by another semi. The patrol issued a reminder that parking on the shoulder or ramps is for emergencies only.
The State Patrol and other law enforcement and emergency personnel responded to the crash site. Traffic control and other assistance was provided by Nebraska Department of Transportation personnel.
One male was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Traffic was reduced to one lane for a time to allow cleanup of the crash site.
Both westbound lanes have been returned to normal operation.
