The Nebraska State Patrol announces the promotion of Lieutenant Kurt Von Minden to the position of Captain in Command of Troop E Scottsbluff.
“The role of Troop Area Commander is critical to what we do at the State Patrol,” said Colonel John Bolduc, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “Captain Von Minden has demonstrated that he is ready to lead the men and women of Troop E and provide the service the public expects and deserves.”
Captain Von Minden has been with NSP for 19 years and has most recently served as the Director of the Fusion Center in Lincoln. He has previously served in Field Services in both the Traffic and Carrier Enforcement Divisions and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
“I started my career stationed in Troop E and it’s an honor to now lead this exceptional group of public servants,” said Captain Von Minden. “I look forward to working with our personnel and our public safety partners throughout all of Troop E’s eleven counties.”
Throughout his career with NSP, Captain Von Minden has been stationed in Troop Areas E, B, D, and H, as well as District 2 of the Carrier Enforcement Division. He has also served as a range officer, an SFST Instructor, and a member of the NSP SWAT Team.
