Grand Island, NE— Nebraska State Fair, in collaboration with the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation, will launch a custom license plate featuring a nighttime panoramic view of the midway during the annual state fair as soon as the minimum number of reservations is made. There will be a $70 fee for each plate.
Other visual features of the license plate include the Ferris wheel spanning the left side of the plate and the words “State Fair” centered at the bottom. The word “Nebraska” is centered at the top and the license plate number will be black. A minimum of 250 reservations are required before the license plate can go into production.
Lindsey Koepke, executive director of the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation, said, “This is a great way to promote the Nebraska State Fair throughout the state.” Koepke noted the group has gotten a good start on the required reservations, but still has a few to go.
Anyone interested in reserving a Nebraska State Fair license plate should visit StateFair.org to download an application. The $70 fee for the plate is split between the Nebraska DMV and the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
