Microsoft Word courses to be offered at Northeast in South Sioux City

SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Northeast Community College in South Sioux City will offer two classes for those wanting to learn more about Microsoft Word.

Microsoft Word – Level 1 (INFO 5120/18S & CRN #70075) will be held three consecutive Wednesdays, January 10-24, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Room 135 of the South Sioux City Extended Campus, 1001 College Way.

Participants will learn the essentials of Microsoft Word and word processing as they create, navigate and save documents; apply character and paragraph formatting; insert symbols; and create headers and footers. How to check spelling and grammar; add page breaks; print and convert documents to PDF; and add graphics and clip art will also be covered.

Microsoft Word – Level 2 (INFO 5320/18S & CRN #70076) will meet three consecutive Wednesdays, January 31-February 14, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., in the same location.

This course will empower participants to increase the complexity of Microsoft Word documents by adding components such as customized lists, tables, charts and graphics. Inserting clip art, applying themes, working with views, formatting text, setting margins, using bullets, paragraph spacing and borders and shading will also be covered.

Cost of each class, with Maralyn Grimoskas the instructor, is $60.
