Man leads authorities on 115 MPH pursuit through Scotts Bluff and Sioux Counties

A 23 year old Scottsbluff man will have a first court appearance this morning on numerous charges after leading police on a high speed pursuit Thursday evening.

Scottsbluff Police say an officer attempted to stop a 2006 Chevy Malibu in the 1500 block of East 12th Street, when the vehicle immediately fled from the officer.

The suspect turned north onto Sugar Factory Road, heading out of town at a very high rate of speed.

Scottsbluff Officers continued to pursue the vehicle as it proceeded north into Sioux County where the roadway ends, and the pursuit ended in a steep ravine.

Officers took three subjects into custody at the scene and the suspect vehicle was towed back to Scottsbluff.
