Letter Carriers hoping to Stamp out Hunger with Saturday food drive

Letter Carriers hoping to Stamp out Hunger with Saturday food drive

The 25th annual national Letter Carriers’ #StampOutHunger Food Drive is this Saturday, May 13th.

Over the last 24 national food drives, letter carriers have collected more than 1.5 billion pounds of food, helped by untold thousands of fellow postal employees, retired letter carriers, family members and friends.

Scottsbluff Postal Superintendent Jim Casson says the collected non-perishable food items will then be distributed to local food pantries.

Casson says it’s easy to participate.  All you have to do is leave a bag or bags of non-perishable food by your mailbox before your letter carrier’s normal pickup time.

Your letter carrier will deliver the food to a local food pantry in your community.
