John C. Fremont Days is July 13th, 14th and 15th.  The kickoff luncheon is Thursday the 12th at Great Western Bank, 23rd and Lincoln,  from 11 am until 1 pm.

 

 

This year’s event is “Lest We Forget: 100 Years Since WWI’s End.

 

 

Activities include kids activities at Midland University, sporting events, including the Ridge Road Run and Corporate Cup Challenge on Saturday at Christensen Field.

 

 

There will also be the Cruisers On Main: Car, Truck and Bike Show from  8 am until 4 pm in downtown Fremont.

 

 

The rodeo is Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 at Christensen Field.

 

 

Historical community events will take place on Military Avenue throughout the day on Saturday to honor our service men and women.

 

 

Living History will be displayed at Clemmons Park all three days.

 

 

A Historical Parade will take place Sunday at 1:30 in downtown Fremont.

 

 

A free diabetes testing will be offered Friday noon until 4 pm at Military and Park Ave.

 

 

A Balloon Glow and Watermelon Feed will take place at sunset Friday east of the Splash Station.
