A Monday morning crash on M Street in Gering causes some noticeable damage- but fortunately no significant injuries.

Around 7:45 a.m., Gering Police and Fire Department crews were dispatched to a metal building between S+S Storage and Rich’s Wrecking and Salvage.

Gering Police say the driver of the Nissan Altima was Julie Miller of Gering. Early reports show that she was driving eastbound on M Street, and her car veered left through the westbound lane and straight through a fence and into the building.

The owner of the building, Scottsbluff Mayor Randy Meininger, was also called down to assess the damage on the west side of the unit.
