Friday is the final day to register in person for May 15th primary

The final day to register in person to vote in the May primary is Friday (tomorrow).

The Scotts Bluff County Clerk’s office will be open until 6 p.m. to accept new voter registrations or for people that need to change their registration due to a move, change in their marital status, or change of party affiliation.

County Clerk Vera Dulaney says the primary is not generating a lot of new registrations because there isn’t that much that will be settled May 15th.

Most of the interest in the primary is due to contested county and NRD races.

Dulaney says there has been a steady stream of early voters but not anything to the level of participation in the last general election.
