Former nurse enters guilty pleas to fondling sedated patients at Regional West

A former Colorado and Nebraska nurse accused of fondling sedated patients while administering pain killers at three different hospitals, including Regional West in Scottsbluff, has entered guilty pleas to three counts of misdemeanor sexual assault.

45 year old Thomas Moore, who has been sentenced to twelve years in prison for fondling patients in Colorado, will be sentenced May 31st in Scotts Bluff County Court. Moore is accused of inappropriately touching three sedated patients at Regional West.

Moore was transferred to Scottsbluff from a Sterling, Colorado prison to make the pleas. Scotts Bluff County Attorney Dave Eubanks said he wanted to get convictions on the local cases and get them resolved so the victims get closure, even if Moore is given sentences concurrent to the ones he is serving in Colorado. Moore could get up to a year in prison on each of the three misdemeanors.

In Colorado, Moore was convicted of fondling a woman who went to the North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton in November 2015 for a severe headache, and for assaulting five other sedated patients in Weld County, Colorado. In both jurisdictions, he received 12 year prison sentences that are to be served at the same time.
